The teacher plays an integral role in the instructional program by working with students and providing high-quality instruction that meets the needs of each child. An Eagle Hill teacher should:

  • Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for working with middle school students
  • Create a supportive classroom environment through the use of multisensory learning opportunities, enabling students to learn and collaborate positively with one another

  • Develop supportive relationships with both students and families
  • Engage in our faculty learning community, including division and department meetings
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching colleagues through regular meetings and sharing resources.
  • Expect to be part of multi-disciplinary teams including psychological services and language specialists
  • Exhibit a commitment to professional growth and development
  • Model personal traits such as creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for nurturing the growth of the whole child.

Expected Credentials:

  • It is expected that leave replacement teachers will have at least a Bachelor’s Degree. A Master’s Degree in an appropriate instructional area (i.e., special education, literacy) is preferred.
  • A teaching certification is NOT required for this position.

Salary Range:

  • $55,000 - $75,000, prorated for the length of the assignment
  • Higher compensation considered for exceptionally qualified candidates
