Part-time Middle School French teacher

Hamden Hall Country Day School is seeking a warm, engaging, and enthusiastic part-time French Teacher to teach two middle school sections of French.

As a World Language teacher, your creativity, energy, and commitment to the mission of Hamden Hall will inspire students to develop confidence in the French language while discovering Francophone cultures.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time course load consisting of two middle school French sections following the school’s daily rotation schedule.
• Provide additional academic support and extra help for students as needed.
• Create written student progress reports four times a year.
• Attend divisional or departmental meetings.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in French, Education, or related field.
• Strong written and spoken proficiency in French.
• Prior experience teaching middle school French preferred.
• Ability to build authentic, supportive relationships with students.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility, creativity, and strong organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of Google Apps, Blackbaud, and comfort with technology preferred.
