Spanish Teacher
The Montessori School of Greater Hartford is looking to hire a passionate, part-time teacher qualified to teach Spanish as a second language, to 7th-9th grade students. The teaching position, available as of August 2026, is a unique opportunity to work alongside adolescents on a farm campus in New Hartford, CT, where work on the land is integrated with academic studies. The applicant must enjoy guiding experiential learning opportunities in a small, friendly, collaborative school community. An ability to engage young adolescents in a variety of activities and to enjoy working alongside them both outdoors and in the classroom is essential.
The applicant, a college graduate, must have the level of fluency and mastery necessary to guide both beginners and advanced learners with differentiated instruction. The applicant will create an engaging, student-centered learning environment that fosters Spanish language proficiency while deepening adolescents’ appreciation of, and ability to contribute positively to, a multicultural world.
MSGH, established in 1964, is an Association Montessori Internationale recognized school that serves approximately 220 children from 15 months to 15 years. Our new Teacher/Guide will join a team of passionate, warm, committed people dedicated to serving each adolescent with respect and joy.
