King School is looking for qualified applicants with competitive high school or college football coaching and playing experience for the position of Varsity Head Football Coach. Highly motivated candidates possessing strong leadership and communication skills are encouraged to apply. The Head Coach will have responsibility for all aspects of the program, including mentorship and oversight of the assistant, JV, and middle school coaches, and be the face of King Football program, providing leadership in the ongoing development, growth, and improvement of the program from grades 6-12. The Head Coach will execute effective teaching and coaching techniques to help the athletes optimize their athletic skill, acumen and attitude, and be expected to build upon the rich tradition and history of the program. The Head Coach will also constructively collaborate with students and adults in a positive spirit; display and promote sportsmanship and citizenship; and demonstrate a commitment to King’s Virtues and Diversity Policy. The Head Coach will be expected to uphold and promote the mission and philosophy of the King School and the Athletics Department, while following the rules set forth by the Metropolitan Independent Football League (MIFL).
