We are currently seeking a Middle School Physical Education Teacher to join in the vision of our Physical Education Department for the 2026-2027 school year.
Position: Middle School Physical Education and Health Teacher
Reports to: Head of Middle School
FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-time
Job Summary
Sacred Heart Greenwich is committed to excellence in academics, athletics, and the holistic development of each student. The Physical Education and Middle School Health Teacher is responsible for delivering a high-quality physical education and health program that promotes physical wellness, healthy decision-making, and lifelong fitness. Instruction is provided within the context of the Goals and Criteria that define a Sacred Heart education.
Essential Functions may include:
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education required; Master's preferred. 1-3 years experience teaching children in grades 5 to 8. The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills and a compassionate heart. The ability to develop teaching strategies and teach multiple grade levels is essential. Experience coaching at the middle/high school or collegiate level is preferred.
