Job Summary: Teaching faculty are responsible for fostering a positive, supportive learning experience for every student. In addition to teaching, faculty contribute to South Kent’s extra-curricular programs and student’s residential life.

Rooted in the Science of Learning, our academic program is built on the belief that all students can achieve meaningful academic growth when provided with effective instruction and support. We pursue this through a competency-based approach, where instruction aligns with clearly defined instructional objectives and student learning targets, which are observable demonstrations of knowledge and skills. Teachers assess progress based on these targets and provide timely, constructive feedback to guide continued growth.

This approach combines explicit instruction with opportunities for authentic student engagement. When appropriate, project-based learning is incorporated to connect abstract concepts to real-world applications, helping students prepare for a rapidly changing world.
