Position Overview:
The Operations & Maintenance Lead Technician will fulfill an integral role in the Maintenance team by promoting and supporting the daily operations and activities of the Maintenance Department under the direction of the Director of Facilities. Additionally, the Operations & Lead Technician will assume leadership of the Maintenance Team in the absence of the Director of Facilities.
Qualifications:
This position requires a candidate who is a self starter and can work independently toward a common goal in addition to the following:
• Must be U.S. citizen
• Previous maintenance experience
• A proven history and references that speak to success in facilities supervision and
management
• Able to run landscaping/snow removal equipment
• Have mechanical dexterity
• May require heavy lifting occasionally
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:
The Operations & Maintenance Lead Technician’s primary responsibility is to promote and support the daily operations and activities of the Maintenance Department under the direction of the Director of Facilities in addition to the following:
• Assume leadership of the Maintenance Team in the absence of the Director of Facilities
• Oversee school vehicles including maintenance and usage
• Oversee facilities set-up for school events in conjunction with School administrative staff
• Landscaping and snow removal (including afterhours if needed)
• Furniture moving and set up for classroom changes
• Sports field preparation
• Performing projects as needed
• Other duties may be reasonably assigned by the Director

The Master's School is a non-denominational, Christian, college-preparatory day school enrolling boys and girls in Preschool through Grade 12. The school has three sections: Lower (Preschool - grade 5), Middle (grades 6-8), and Upper (grades 9-12). The school is located on a beautifully wooded 76-acre, eleven-building campus with three athletic fields in West Simsbury.
