Job Title: Assistant Director of Admission
Division: Admission
Reports to: Director of Admission and Financial Access
Summary
The Assistant Director of Admission supports the Associate Director of Admission, Upper School from strategy to execution in alignment with the goals and philosophy of the Director of Admission and Financial Access. Additionally, the Assistant Director of Admission plays an integral role in event management.
Responsibilities and Primary Duties:
Collaborate with admission team to plan and execute admission strategy
Work with prospective Upper School families to introduce them to King
School, complete the application process and enroll accepted students
Field phone calls and emails as a member of the admission team
Schedule or conduct tours and interviews for assigned families
Maintain notes in database tracking communications and interview
notes
Partner with current faculty and students to gain a strong working
knowledge of King and our unique attributes as well as to enlist help
attracting strong candidates
Support Associate Director of Admission, Upper School with ambassador
and tour guide program
Prepare admission candidate portfolios for review and participate in
Upper School admission committee meetings
Attend school fairs and visits as needed
Coordinates special admission events with support of the admission tea
Complete special projects as assigned
Skills and requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Strong communication skills across all constituents, especially Upper
School students and their parents
A positive public presence, warm and gracious personality, and a sense of humor
An interest in participating in the life of the school
Strong work ethic, initiative and leadership skills
Ability to work both as part of a team and independently to accomplish
departmental and individual goals
Demonstrated cross-cultural competence and the ability to work in an environment that reflects
our diverse community, including but not limited to diversity in race, ethnicity, gender identity, socio-economic status, belief,
