Position Statement
The Assistant Athletic Director is a 10-month administrative and faculty position reporting directly to the
Athletic Director and to the Directors of Upper and Middle School Teaching and Learning. This position
is responsible for supporting the ongoing growth and quality of the athletic program in addition to
teaching and learning, providing vision and support for excellence in all areas of the student experience at
The Williams School.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have independent School teaching and coaching experience working with faculty,
staff, parents, and students. In addition, the candidate will be a highly visible and engaged leader who is
enthusiastically involved in the daily life of the school.

The Williams School, located on the Connecticut College campus in New London, Connecticut and
founded in 1891, is an independent, college preparatory day school for grades 6-12. Enrollment is 190.
