The Williams School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Athletic Trainer/Assistant Athletic Director
to support the health, safety, and performance of student-athletes. This position includes responsibilities in
athletic training, equipment management, facility operations, and transportation.

Key Responsibilities

Health and Safety

  • Review and update the school’s Emergency Action Plan
  • Manage the treatment and rehabilitation of student-athlete injuries
  • Train all coaches in CPR, First Aid, and AED procedures
  • Maintain updated certifications for all coaches and administrators
  • Track and coordinate injury information with the school nurse and Athletic Director
  • Oversee ImPACT Testing and maintain records
  • Track and coordinate physicals with the school nurse

Game and Practice Support

  • Provide athletic trainer coverage at all home games and most practices
  • Maintain and distribute fully stocked first aid kits and training equipment
  • Coordinate and manage all game-day announcements, music, national anthem, and scoreboard
    operations on both campuses
  • Train and supervise students assisting with game-day logistics
  • Collaborate with facilities staff to prepare fields and gymnasiums

Equipment and Facility Management

  • Clean, maintain, and prepare all athletic equipment, including water jugs, bottles, and pinnies
  • Oversee the distribution, collection, and inventory of uniforms

Teaching and Supervision

  • Teach one section of PE/Health to middle school students
  • Supervise two daily lunchtime gym duty periods (upper and middle school)
  • Oversee the Dayharsh Fitness Center during the winter and on designated ninth-period days
  • Provide oversight of swim safety during winter season

Transportation

  • Obtain a Class A Passenger Bus License
  • Support daily transportation for student-athletes (3:00 - 4:00 PM) and occasional away games

Schedule

  • Hours: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday
  • Saturdays: Required to work three full Sports Days and approximately seven additional
    Saturdays for athletic events
  • Employment Dates: August 15 – June 15th (summer employment possible with camps)
