Waterside Art Teacher Position

Waterside School is seeking a passionate and dynamic art teacher to join our JK-5 program. The ideal candidate will be comfortable implementing a diverse curriculum that emphasizes artistic techniques, creativity, child development, classroom management, and social-emotional learning—all with the goal of nurturing well-rounded students who are inspired to explore and develop their artistic abilities. This is a unique opportunity to teach under the guidance of a seasoned art educator within a well-established and thoughtfully designed program that fosters mentorship and professional growth. Waterside School is an independent private school in Stamford, CT, less than an hour from New York City. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • At least three years of teaching experience
  • A passion for working with children
  • A deep commitment to the School’s mission
  • Demonstrates inclusive and equitable practices to ensure that all members of the community feel a sense of belonging
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with children and their families
  • Follows community policies and procedures and models positive behavior
