Job Title: After School Care Provider 

Division: Lower School

Reports to: Coordinator of After School Care Program

Job Description: King seeks an After School Care Provider to care for King students from ages 3 to 10. Hours: daily, Monday-Friday, 2:45-5:30 pm

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Organizing and leading activities for students of various ages, i.e. arts and crafts,      games.
  • Supervising homework time for older students.
  • Supervising indoor and outdoor activities, in the gym and on the playground.
  • Must have a caring and loving demeanor.
  • Will work well with others and take direction from After School Care Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • Infant/Child CPR-AED and First Aid Certification - King will provide.
  • Prior experience working with young children.
  • Must be able to communicate with parents about their child’s afternoon.
  • Demonstrated competence in racial literacy and intersectional aspects that impact adolescent development, including but not limited to gender identity, socio-economic resources, sexual orientation, and ability. 
  • Cross-cultural competency, ability to communicate, work, teach and learn in a diverse community of students and staffulty.
  • Experience working as part of a team. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to constructively collaborate with colleagues.
  • Must have a demonstrated alignment with King’s Mission, Virtues, and Diversity Policy.
