Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our warm and caring team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in implementing the Montessori curriculum, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting the overall development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in preparing and maintaining the classroom environment.
• Support individual and small group learning activities.
• Encourage children’s exploration and independence.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Help with classroom management and supervision.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Supervise the classroom as directed by the Teacher, supervise playtimes, and share the responsibility for the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
• Be familiar with emergency procedures & report all accidents to the office immediately

Qualifications:

• A passion for working with children and a commitment to Montessori education.
• Previous experience in a classroom setting preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Montessori training or certification is a plus, but not mandatory.
