The school offers a coed program for young children at the Barat Center for Early Childhood Education and then an all-girls experience from K-12 on our 110-acre campus in Greenwich, Connecticut.  We are proudly part of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools.

We are currently seeking an Assistant Rowing Coach to join the Athletic Department for the 2025 spring season. 

Position: Assistant Rowing Coach, Upper School 
Reports to: Director of Athletics 
FLSA Status: Stipend, part-time position

Job Responsibilities:

Duties include:

- Implement instruction and training programs to prepare student-athletes for competition; this will include plans for experienced and brand-new rowers

- Collaborate with coaching staff to plan, organize and run daily practices

- Attend all practices and competitions at the direction of the Director of Rowing and Director of Athletics

- Supervise student-athletes during all team activities

- Comply with Sacred Heart and sport-specific organization policies and procedures

- Assist in maintaining equipment

- Communicate effectively with parents and students

 

 Seasons starts March 2025, Typical practice times are: 

  • 4:00-6:00pm, Monday- Friday; occasional weekends for races /and morning training sessions
  • Travel with the team for practices and races is required. Races will require some weekend travel

Qualifications

The ideal coaching candidate will have experience with the sport at the college level, or equivalent, expertise in teaching sport-specific skills and strategy and the ability to relate and communicate effectively with young women. 

The candidate should be energetic, approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community.
